Marianne Centrair joint ownership available
For those who may be interested, shares (total of 5) are being offered for joint ownership of a Centrair "Marianne" two-person glider and trailer.
The anticipated L/D with winglets addition will be 45 to 1 at 56 knots which indicates a low sink rate at high speed.
The cost of each share is $12,500 USD
Equipment includes:
• FSG 71 Dittel Radio,
• Cambridge 302 Glide Computer with Vario
• Second Vario
• PDA's with See CU Glide Program
• EDS Oxygen System includes masks and cannulas

'Alby' Flight
Hello Elk Mountain flyers.
It’s February and the soaring season approaches.
If you’ve been reading the SSA soaring magazine (or re-reading as the season grows near), you may have discovered in the September edition, an article on the ‘Alby’ flight.
The ‘Alby’ flight is a soaring promotion coordinating a series of nation-wide cross-country flights. The flights will unite like-minded aviators in a project that is certain to be challenging and provide great fun. I have been contacted by organizers of the event who are looking for Utah clubs and pilots interested in being part of the journey.

“The article describes the story of Alby, a young, adventurous albatross wishing to explore beyond the ocean waters and fly on land, an environment unfamiliar to him. Glider pilots understand his desire and satisfy his aspiration by taking him in a succession of glider flights from the Pacific Ocean all the way to the Atlantic. A bronze sculpture represents Alby and its spirit.”
‘Alby’ is now airborne-
Flights are being flown and logged. A flight is scheduled for the end of February at Hollister, CA. The Arizona crossing is being planned. Please let me know if you are interested in ‘Alby’ and we’ll facilitate his flight through Utah.
